Founded in 2015 in Frankfurt am Main by Markus Hüwener, founder and former CEO of First Climate AG, a worldwide leading provider in the market for CO2-certificates.

nbio is implementing und financing green house gas mitigation projects at small and medium sized enterprises und organizations with a high demand for thermal energy. The required CO2-reductions are achieved via a fuel switch from fossile fuel to renewable energy based thermal energy production, mainly biomass.

nbio is also active in implementing and financing energy efficiency projects all over Europe.
